Blog of my Book: Sky Woman Lives in Me

June 16, 2020

Dear Family, Friends and Everyone Else who may be reading this blog,

Hello! It has been almost a month since I last wrote something to you. I hope this finds all well.  Please stay safe from this ongoing Pandemic Covid-19 by social distancing and wearing masks. In time, this pandemic will be over, but we must be patient.

June 6th my Grandma Millie would have turned 114 Years old! She passed in 2010 at 104!  I miss her dearly.  She helped me with my book:  Sky Woman Lives in Me.  She shared family history of my Great Grandmother, Sophia Huff’s assimilation experience at the Carlisle Indian Industrial Boarding School in 1891-92.  I am forever grateful to her! Below  is a photo of my Grandma Millie with me in 2010, taken in Oneida, Wisconsin.

Here it is the year 2020.  Our country still has the same racism my grandmothers’ and all minorities experienced through the centuries.  Sadly, racism is alive and well.  I truly believe children are not born racist. I share two photos I saw on Facebook that touched my heart.  I thank Metro.co.uk for posting these two photos on Facebook. The two little boys are friends and hugged each other, for their friendship.  This is beautiful!PRC_84066677_1568112878

My book, Sky Woman Lives in Me, is still available. Lulu Press discounts my book 25%. My Great Grandmother, Sophia Huff, used to grow Gladiolas!  So, here’s a photo of Sophia’s favorite flower. I hope it brighten’s you up this summer day!

Thank you for reading my blog. There are other blogs I have written on my WordPress site:  Blog of my Book:  Sky Woman Lives in Me, if you want to read more of them.  Happy Father’s Day to all the Dads’ out there!
